Great video, as always! At 2:59 it shows the Q2 and Q3S as having a dual LCDs and the Q3 having a single LCD. That is, of course, backwards.

I don't care about the headphone jack, I'm looking to be more comfortable and wearing headphones completely takes me out of the game.. and the wires management, my god.
The meta quest 4 is supposed to come out in 2026. I think that will be my first venture into VR. There will be so many more games and apps by then too.
Got more affordable but also got downscaled. Uses outdated fresnel lenses. Get a Quest 3 instead, which uses pancake lenses.

Stop buying Fresnel headsets, people. You'll thank me later. The Quest 3 is on sale so often in the US, those few extra dollars are worth it. Please don't start with outdated technologies. I'm telling you this from the heart as a VR enthusiast.
Having a lower resolution with the same performing chip as the quest 3, includes better performance overall. even if the resolution is lower, it takes more processing power to process the higher resolution of the quest 3, so the quest3s would actually have better performance than the quest 3 (at least, its likely.)

I had a really hard time picking a vr headset. Saw the 3s but when compared the headsets still went with the 3. Plus the batman was a nice touch for free. This is a very cool headset. But now it has opened up a world of — what do I get next. Lol

If you need "financing options"… Do I need to say it?….Then you can't afford them. Save your money for 3-6 months and THEN get the HMD of your dreams.
The quest 3 had type of full body tracking, but all the videos on the quest 3s I seen. doesn't mention anything about the quest 3s have it, tho

I don't see anything to do with Quest 3 other than the name. Just a revamped Quest 2. I have Quest 2 and regret ever buying it. What good is Quest 2 or Quest 3 when the number of games that seem to be played can be counted on the fingers of one hand so to speak? My old Oculus Rift had more interesting games. I can't say for the Quest 3, but I don't see any quality improvement in the Quest 2 over the Oculus Rift. The picture is equally grainy regardless of the fact that the Quest 2 is said to have more pixels. Quest 3 may have more, but also from a large viewing angle, it seems that there will hardly be a big improvement. The improvement is entirely due to the more powerful processor, not the optics. It's like any monitor/TV. Even if it is 16K, if the input signal is only HD, it will not be of particular use.
I love having some lower-budget options for people looking to get in on the cheap. That said, though, sticking with the fresnel lenses is a HUGE let-down. At that price, if someone is planning on doing PCVR, I'd just recommend they get a used Quest 2 for dirt cheap.
The elimination of the headphone jack is a concerning move. I, personally, use a wireless gaming headset for a couple reasons, but I've spent a LOT of time using earbuds on my headset because I wanted the privacy/quiet for those around me.

In my opinion it’s a great device. I would not buy a Quest 3 because of prescription lenses, so it would be necessary to add new lenses to the price of quest 3, here they are compatible, more, I find video quality of Quest 2 again satisfying, so no problem with Quest 3 compromises. In any case I think I will not buy it because my interest for VR is very low at the moment, I am having much more fun with handheld devices.

I keep seeing how people are saying how they don’t understand why it’s called the “S” since it’s a cheaper version like a “Lite”. It’s like the Xbox series S, it’s the cheaper version. Makes complete sense to me.
I had the 3S ordered but I canceled and ordered the 3 for 499. I didn't want to spend that much but I feel like with the more storage and better display it will make it less obsolete in the long run for a while.
