Qatar halts mediation efforts between Israel and Hamas | Australian mining CEO detained in Mali



Qatar has announced it is suspending its role as mediator between Israel and Hamas.

It’s been leading efforts to secure a ceasefire and hostage release deal for 13 months now.

Officials in Doha say they won’t participate in any further negotiations, until both sides can show they are serious about reaching a deal
