ProxMox on TerraMaster F8-SSD But NOT 32GB RAM – 1429
I really want to try run ProxMox on the TerraMaster F8 SSD Plus,, an all flash NAS, that can do a lot more. The TerraMaster F8 SSD Plus came with 16GB of RAM,, for Proxmox,, 32GB would realy be nice
so we start there.

For 3$ a month, you get an extra weekly “What’s UP” update video. Just for my Patrons. The Support I resave on patreon is all used on stuff to make interesting videos on YouTube.
My PlayHouse is a channel where i will show, what i am working on. I have this house, it is 168 Square Meters / 1808.3ft² and it is full, of half-finished projects.
I love working with heating, insulation, Servers, computers, Datacenter, green power, alternative energy, solar, wind and more. It all costs, but I’m trying to get the most out of my money, and my time.

Fantastic video – no messing with drivers, bet this would be a great little box for TrueNAS! Thanks Mort!
Next VDO : Will it run Doom ! 🙂
The n100 can do 32 Gb allthough Intel says only 16. Terramaster fitted the wrong processor as it's also has a lower tdp than the 305! Send back the ram, waste of patreon money !
Any resources you recommend for learning networking??
From I can read, the first time you insert DDR 5 memory, the motherboard firmware will take some time to test the memory to determine the best setting for the inserted memory.
I'm pretty sure, the N305 can run more than 16Gb of ram, because I have a synology DS423+ with celeron J4125, where Intel says only 8GB of ram (and Synology says only 2+4=6Gb of ram), but I added a 16Gb Kingston module and now it runs perfectly with 18Gb of ram. Intel CPUs of the same generation have often the same memory controller and can run the same amount of memory. But they're sometimes kind of picky which module they like. Had some bad experience with crucial modules in kind of compatibility in the past, but Kingston value ram never disappointed me.
The Unit is unavailable on Amazon UK right now
Yes ist wierd , terramaster website , up to 32 gb of ram – Intel , max 16 gb of ram 🤔🤔
May be Low power 1,2 volt ram ? 🤔
IF on intel site on cpu info is 16 gb of ram You can install only 16 gb or les but mainboards can have limits of install memory lenovo pcs are good exsample of that..
LOVE the hair !! This made this video !! Nice work Sir !
Others have been able to use 32 gb on some other motherboards. Don't forget that DDR 5 needs time to train the memory.
Yeah the CPU can only address 16 GB of RAM, and only has a meager 9 Gen 3 PCIe lanes, so for that price, it's somewhat disappointing.
