Owners of NSW’s biggest coal mine have applied to extend the life of the site by 25 years | 7.30



The Australian coal industry is winding down with a number of closures expected in coming years. But some coal mine operators think there is still plenty of money to be made.

A proposal by Hunter Valley Operations to keep mining until 2050 is being considered by the NSW and federal governments.
