This podcast is about sharing the last moments of our pregnancy journey leading up to our birth and our postpartum experience. Our pregnancy overall was amazing but we did experience some postpartum complications that were unexpected. This journey has been a rollercoaster of emotions for us but we’re here to break it all down in what we call a “therapy session”. We’re also excited to introduce our baby boy Jakai as he makes his YouTube debut!

  1. Congratulations on your son! I'm glad you're all doing okay now. And thank you for advocating therapy; mental health is very important and even more so postpartum (especially with all the changes for BOTH parents). Keep doing a great job and looking forward to more content!

  2. Aww he's adorable again congratulations to you both. Hearing about your story and healing process brought back memories of me being on dialysis for 2 weeks after having my twins because I had kidney failure. Women listen to your body because there's a chance if i would've ignored the pain on my left side i might wouldn't be here because my blood pressure was also in triple digits top and bottom number. Plus I'm Rh- so that doesn't help. My twins are now 11 yrs old and have a brother who will be 6 on Thursday 😊. @juiceandtoya you have helped me do my best to stay consistent with weight lifting because my children are my reason why

  3. Oh wow! I am sorry you all had to go through this health scare!! I am happy you advocated for yourselves. It is so important. Take your time recovering. I am praying for continued healing for you. 🙏🏻 Congrats on your beautiful boy!

  4. You guys are so great and a perfect example of what a healthy marriage should like like. That little boy is blessed to have you and you are blessed to have each other. Take all the time you need. I appreciate the honesty about not working out just yet. When I had emergency surgery with a perforated intestine and almost died my husband was there for me. We always worked out and then realized now was the time to heal not only physically but mentally. He was my rock. I will always be his. In sickness and in health are not vows we take lightly. Life is good. Thank you for your authenticity.

  5. I am so sorry to hear what you've been going through guys, and specifically Toya. Yet, you are always that power couple and are already great parents to the beautiful Jakai. You'll all be fine. And to think you still have a treasure of saved workouts is also a testimony to your tenacity that goes far beyond the physical. Take your time putting them out though. Just take care of yourselves, each other, and the little one. We already have a lot to work with. P.S. Loving Juice's testimony about the strength of a woman. Amen to that, and Toya is definitely one of them. God bless❣️

  6. Firstly congratulations on your new bundle of joy! I have 3 babies and had post partum preeclampsia with all 3. My first like you didn't know what it was or anything, nurse came on a home visit checked my blood pressure couldn't believe her eyes and sent me straight to emergency room. I didn't even have any headaches, no symptoms whatsoever. Long story short each post partum I had the same and with my 3rd and final baby it took 3/4 months of 2 different kind of BP tablets to finally bring my Bp down. I was then slowly weaned off the BP medications. Hormones does a number on us women, you will now be high risk for PP eclampsia for future pregnancies and PP.

  7. Congratulations on your sweet boy. So cute with the head full of hair. I'm so glad Toya made it through the postpartum complications and that all of you are healthy and blessed. Treasure this season in your life. It goes by fast. God bless your family 🙏

  8. CONGRATULATIONS, CONGRATULATIONS!!! OMG a beautiful baby boy! Parenting looks good on you both. So happy for you…welcome to the journey of the most incredible, difficult and most rewarding job of your life! Oh and I love his name…congrats again!
