Opening My Gold Mine! Part 6: Timbering The Raise
Welcome back to “Opening My Gold Mine,” and we’ve reached Part 6 of this thrilling series! In this episode, Jason and @mineoperator have their work cut out as they embark on the crucial task of timbering up the raise from the lower haulageway to the upper stope, where the coveted gold vein awaits extraction.
However, before the real work begins, there’s a pressing issue – the mine is running low on timber! Join Jason as he takes us through the entire process of timber harvesting, from the moment the tree is felled to skidding it to the landing and then skillfully milling it into dimension lumber. Witness the meticulous craftsmanship required to prepare usable lumber for the mine. More at my other channel: @SJForestProducts
Once equipped with the freshly harvested and milled lumber, the raise project starts to take shape underground. Every piece of this lumber is put to work as Jason, Chad, and Doug labor tirelessly in the dark, wet, and cold conditions beneath the earth’s surface. Their mission: to construct a sturdy and secure pathway, spanning over 50 feet, that connects the lower and upper levels of the mine. Safety and reliability are paramount as they inch closer to the highly anticipated drilling and blasting phase.
Stay tuned as we continue this gripping journey towards uncovering the hidden treasures of the gold vein. The excitement is building, and we’re getting ever closer to the moment we’ve all been eagerly awaiting! Subscribe, like, and share to be part of this extraordinary adventure.
