  1. Interesting to note that Window 11 user numbers continue to remain a very clear second to Windows 10 in virtually every single country, and I don’t see much here nor in the foreseeable future that’s going to alter those actual statistics going forward. Despite its best efforts Microsoft continues to struggle to convince users to upgrade their operating system and it’s easy to see why when this forthcoming release offers yet again no real incentive, just an awful lot of tinkering around the edges.

  2. Regarding system requirements: Windows 11 24H2 will require the SSE 4.2 instruction set for x86 CPUs and ARM 8.1 for ARM CPUs, this means that any CPU released before (and excluding) the first Intel Core i (for Intel) and the AMD Bulldozer family (for AMD) will not run 24H2. This also marks the end for the unofficial Windows 11 port to the Lumia 950 and 950 XL.

  3. I don't want to create an account on neowin so I'll comment on something mentioned in the article linked in the description. The author clearly does not know what copilot on windows really is. Microsoft essentially removed copilot from windows in 24H2, all that's left is an Edge PWA, also known as a website that runs in its own window. There is no more windows copilot for now, there is only a shortcut to the copilot website.
Previously it was also an edge service running in a wrapper, but it had some rudimentary integrations with windows that only allowed it to run apps. The team probably realised that it was pretty half-baked and are too incompetent/decided just not to implement a full integration so now it's gone.
