We are LIVE at the #BlockCopCity mobilization where hundreds of organizers from around Turtle Island will march to block ongoing construction and enforce a “People’s Stop Work Order” organized by the #BlockCopCity Coalition.
“Cop City” is a $90 million police, fire and rescue training facility being built on top of 381 acres of the Weelaunee Forest, traditional homelands of the Mvskoke and Seminole.
Police violence and suppression of organizers/activists working to stop the construction of the site has been escalated from the start of the fight. With organizers facing large bail/bond fees, domestic terrorism charges, and RICO charges. Early this year, Afro-Indigenous #StopCopCity organizer Tortuguita was murdered by Georgia State Troopers.
