  1. Mike is visited several times by a Berber, who long ago lost one of his legs as well as his only daughter to a land mine he had intended to take and sell to enemy soldiers. The Berber, who speaks some English, urges Mike to step off and move forward with life. He insists that Mike is a lucky man, after surviving a night attack by desert dogs while simultaneously managing to keep his foot still on the same place.

FYI: Berbers, or the Berber peoples, also called by their endonym Amazigh or Imazighen, are a diverse grouping of distinct ethnic groups indigenous to North Africa who predate the arrival of Arabs in the Arab migrations to the Maghreb. Their main connections are identified by their usage of Berber languages, most of them mutually unintelligible, which are part of the Afroasiatic language family. (Wikipedia)

  2. i am so glad i just googled the ending of this movie (after reading plently of average reviews) and saved myself 2 hours. If you enjoy wasting your time and being extremely annoyed at the ending of a movie, please watch 🙂

  3. some anti vegicle mines and few anti personal mines fo to i knew a solder from the former East German Army The NVA Hou told me a frind from him stepped exadantaly on a mine a buddy had planted but forgott to warn him he didnd exploded he had to stay on there for 90 minutes ca until someone blocked the firing pin with something i dont remember. he survifed with a cramp in his leg

  4. The land mine that his friend stepped on was a Russian anti personnel mine. Victim activated. Soon as its ignition system is triggered it detonated, mines that require the pressure plate to be triggered then released hasn’t been used since the early ‘40s. As a few EOD buddies would say “Bro we’ve seen it, so shuffle the shit out your britches and just take the step, either you’ll be fine or it wont be your problem anymore”

  5. Land mines blow up when you step on them, pressure mines are usually used for anti tank mines bc of the weight so theoretically if you step on a anti tank mine hard enough, then move it’ll blow up but the landmine his buddy got blown up with is a instant explosion and it generally leaves the person alive but it’ll mangle them up really bad
