Moving ESXi Datastore SSDs from PowerEdge R720 with Perc H710p to R730 with H730p

So first time doing this and I figured other people would like to see it done as well. It ended up being easier than I expected after understanding what needed to be done. Don’t mind the dust it adds flavor.

Steps:
* Backup all files on drives
* Boot into System Setup – Device Settings – Raid Controller – Configuration Management – Manage Foreign Configuration
* Preview Foreign Configuration then import
* Boot into ESXi and verify drives are recognized and whether or not datastores were imported

If they aren’t automatically imported you will need to enable SSH and run these commands over SSH session using putty:

esxcli storage vmfs snapshot list
esxcli storage vmfs snapshot mount -u (Insert VMFS UUID here without brackets)
