  1. This person is a prime example of why I no longer call myself an Australian. He’s totally divorced from reality.

    Ask him how many manufacturing businesses he developed, how many people he employs, how much of his wealth he has risked to develop a business that earns enough to actually pay tax.
    Probably none of the above.
    Maybe he runs an Organic Free Trade coffee shop in a fashionable district in Melbourne.
    It’s so disappointing that Australians who know little about our economy make so much noise.

    Please go and educate yourself.

  3. The point is that without gas we’re dependent on renewables for energy. Gas keeps the cost of electricity lower if you take coal out of the equation. If you expect wind and solar to meet the demand it’s gonna be much more expensive forever. We will never build affordable renewables in Australia. Australia’s energy cost will make us uncompetitive with the rest of the world.
    This ‘made in Australia’ thing that Labor carries on with is the Labor cool aid talking!
    Leaving gas in the ground is bad public policy. That means disaster for the economy!
