Mica is an opaque, dynamic material that incorporates theme and desktop wallpaper to paint the background of long-lived windows such as apps and settings. The Mica material is not available in Edge by default yet, but as spotted by Leopeva64 on X, the description of the option that enables the Mica effect in Edge, the word “Preview” has been removed in Edge Canary 122.
