Man who claims he wants to build a cabin, mine for gold at Seattle park arrested again

For the third time, a man who claims he has permission to build a cabin and plans to mine for gold in a Seattle city park has been arrested.

Police took Steven Irwin, 41, into custody at his encampment in the park on Friday, according to a Seattle police report.

The city of Seattle banned Irwin from all parks for one year after he used an excavator to tear up a hillside in October and then ripped out vegetation to build a cabin.

  1. You can tell his mom looks like she couldn't handle just about anything let alone a human being as a child so what she gives up on her son right off the bat and then has the audacity to do a news story about her son like Lowell use your head lady

  2. He DOESN’T want help! He chooses to do this, if his own mother can’t help him what does that say to the city of SEATTLE??? And the COST for the city to be shelling out for his destruction on city parks, I’m sure the rest of Seattle taxpayers are delighted to know that their money is helping a CRIMINAL do whatever he wants when he wants and not just one time….MULTIPLE TIMES! TAXPAYERS CLEAN UP HIS MESS, TAXPAYERS HOUSE HIM, TAXPAYERS PAY FOR HIS MEDICAL, TAXPAYERS SHOULD BE ABLE TO CLAIM THIS IDIOT ON THEIR TAXES AS A DEPENDENT! I REALLY GUESS 3RD TIME IS A CHARM RIGHT SEATTLE? AND TO THINK THIS IS JUST ONE PERSON, THINK OF ALL THE OTHER TROUBLED PEOPLE THAT THE CITY ALLOWS TO BEHAVE LIKE THIS?? 🙄

  3. …"until he got into drugs and moved to Seattle", he's not the only one. Those places that have little structure or consequences for actions will continue to do what the taxpayers will have to pay for.

  4. They will remove him from unnocupied federal land, but people can't evict squaters from their own homes? I say he has squaters rights, and the federal government is no different from the rest of us in having to live under their pathetic excuse for a legal system.

  5. He knows that this park was built over the earlier dump site for used computer parts in the 60s and 70s making this particular park a modern day gold mine….
Had he only filed the appropriate claims permits.

  6. He can probably walk 200yards and buy whatever crack or meth he wants without the cops even caring drugs are legal. But build a shelter in the park "you're going down son!" Seattle is a joke. Maybe he should pitch a tent downtown like everyone else 😂😂😂
