  1. My burning question for dual monitor setup on the M4.
Does it remember where the toolbars and open windows are after waking up the machine from sleep?
The M2 mini I have is terrible for this, especially with Adobe products. I have all my toolbars on screen 2 to maximise work space on screen 1, every time I wake the machine, all the toolbars are clustered on screen 1 again.
Lightroom too, 2nd screen for grid overview, gone on wakeup.
A basic finder window too, always shifted.
My old Intel Mini never had this issue at all so if they've not addressed this by now in the M4, my next working machine probably will have to be something else 🙁

  2. I tried connecting 2 monitors side by side one directly through the HDMI port via hdmi to hdmi cable and other through the thunderbolt port via usb c to usb c cable as this monitor has a usb c input option. The issue that I faced was that the dock didn’t move from one monitor to the other when moving the mouse at the bottom of the screen. Do you face this issue as well? I have the setting “Each display has separate space” turned on.

  3. I got one extra vga monitor that 1 use to conect to my imac, I will switch to this mac mini m4… do you know if the new mac mini will allow me to connect this monitor as a second monitor (maybe an hdmi – vga adapter) while my primary monitor has 2 inputs (hdmi and displaypor) so I could connect it from the hdmi or from the thunderbolt port

  4. Thanks for this. Love your screen set up. I have two 32's and spend a bunch of time on zoom, using eCamm and creating videos. I do training, etc.

Curious: I have an HDMI going to one of my Samsung monitors and the other is also HDMI but I bought an adapter (USB-C) and plug direct into the mini. For whatever reason, only one display fires up at login and most of the time I need to unplug the USB-C and then it resets and shows up. Thoughts? Thanks in advance for sharing.

  5. Thanks for the good video. I'm using a Mac Mini M4 standard model. Currently, I have 2 monitors that offer 4K 160hz, can I use 2 4K monitors at 144hz or higher using 2 Thunderbolt 4 cables on the Thunderbolt 4 terminal of the Mac mini? The monitor information is MAG274URF from msi company.

  6. I have been able to connect 4 monitors. I use the HDMI on the Mac mini, 2 USBC hubs for additional 2 HDMI monitors, and a displaylink USBc to DVI/HDMI adapter. I believe if I had 2 more display Link adapters, I could do 2 more monitors for a total of 6 monitors.

  7. I tried using a thunderbolt dock to connect the mac mini to two monitors but it doesnt work for me. Both monitors are recognized as one monitor and they can only be mirrored

  8. Mac Mini M4 Pro…I have a USBC dongle that has 2 displayport and one HDMI port. I can hook up two monitors to the Displayports and they work in mirror. I’ve also had 1 DP and one HDMI work in mirror. For some reason Sequoia doesn’t “see” them as separate monitors and Sequoia doesn’t provide the “extend” toggle button to extend the displays. Do you think Apple had disabled this on a single USBC port in order to prevent overloading a single port in terms of bandwidth?
