Let’s look at Stub, Total Stub, NSSA, Totally NSSA – what are these areas?
Every OSPF area starts out as a Normal area. LSA 1 through 5 are allowed inside a normal area so optimisation is your friend with OSPF Using areas like NSSA, Stub, Totally Stubby, Totally NSSA helps optimise the OSPF Domain you are planning.
In this lesson we explore the five OSPF area types (Stub, Totally stubby, NSSA and Totally NSSA). We will also expand on the type 7 LSA for a full understanding.

In this lesson we utilise the fabulous eve-ng for your virtual environment. You can opt for either the community or professional version.
If you want the professional version, which we are using, it is highly recommended and good value for the price and offers great extras.
You will also require a virtual environment for eve-ng. We are utilising vmWare Workstation Pro for our installation.
