Riding the Porygondola today, OVERQWIL from Pokemon Legends Arceus!
This channel is all about exploring the possibilities of ROM hacking and I have a huge number of exciting projects in various stages of development.
🦅 Gen 1 Crunch
While the implementation of Barb Barrage is a direct adaptation of the Legends Arceus version, there is a small change to Crunch. To understand this, I first need to mention that the move: Psychic had a 33.2% chance to cause a Special drop in Gen I and this was changed to 10% Special Defense drop in Gen II. I decided to somewhat do the reverse when adapting Crunch for Gen I. Instead of the 20% chance for a Special Defense drop, it has the same 33.2% Special drop chance that Psychic has.
Its also not too difficult to implement it with a 20% Special drop chance, I’d be interested to hear any opinions and happy to change it for future runs involving Crunch. Incidentally, no move had a 30% chance to cause Poison in Gen I so I had to add that specifically for Barb Barrage, the process was pretty straightforward.
