We’ve got stories of two different mining companies, Regis Resources (RRL) & Silver Mines (SVL), who’ve both had their projects put on indefinite ice following separate government/court rulings. There’s lots for us to debate here.

  1. This is why labour love an indigenous elite they can call on to do their bidding. This is the real reason they wanted 'treaty'. Not for any indigenous benefit – but so they can continue to feather their own political nests with decisions like this.

  2. It’s about time for a company to challenge native title. Otherwise this kind of thing will happen more frequently going forward as the traditional groups and the other interest groups latch onto this cash cow.

  3. Liberals/leftists yack about the democratic values and processes, and how conservatives/rightists are seeking to undermine democracy. Yet liberals are just as quick to bypass democratic processes when it suits them.

  4. i'm from NZ but watched the start of the Rugby game on the weekend Wallibies vs sth Africa and they do whole cultural welcome to our land thing and i was shocked at wthat was being said. And not in a good way.

  5. Australia being touted as Tier 1 is a total farce. It's easier to do business in West africa even with Wagner and other groups coming around. If Regis were to mine a "critical mineral" or wanted to erect a solar farm it would have been approved.

  6. The most absurd part about this whole debacle. The Labor government announced "Future Made in Australia" and one of the key aspects was Australia making solar panels in Newcastle.
Somebody tell the half wits in the Labor party that solar panels require Ag.
    Clown World

  7. I am not a holder of Regis but gee what a disgraceful decision. I feel for holders. This is like changing the rules after the game has started. This is a bullshit political decision.
