Intel Arrow Lake, Ryzen 7 9800X3D, AMD RDNA 4 v ARC Battlemage, Nvidia RTX 5090 | Broken Silicon 280
Is Arrow Lake cheap enough to compete with Zen 5? Is RDNA 4 what people wish Battlemage was? [SPON: Use ”C750” for $50 …

Wait so arc using more silicon to barely compete and year late is not impressive, but lunar lake having nm advantage and coming 3 months late and is expensive as hell is impressive and not a win for Qualcomm . Wow the fanboyism from mlid for x86 and amd is just another level
I think it's crazy that 3090 ti performance will be $600 – three years later
The GRE could have a caligraphic reason in China. Perhaps the chinese character for GDE would be much more complex
The WD problem with 24H2 appears only with old firmwares
Lol, n4p vs n3 and he is saying Intel is more efficient with more die area. If that is not the definition of efficiency win , I don't know what is mlid fanboyism
I find the uninformed comments about ARM architecture tiresome. Apple's M4 cores already lead on both performance and efficiency. And, it looks like Qualcomm will be following in Apple's footsteps with its Oryon Gen 2 cores. Please stop pretending that these matters aren't settled. Not even Jim Keller was able to save Intel.
At the consumer level, neither AMD nor Intel are keeping pace with the performance of the best custom ARM chips. Taking performance and efficiency together AMD and Intel are a long way behind.
Now, you might reasonably want to say that neither Apple nor Qualcomm will be able to offer leading gaming platforms without integrating a top line GPU from either Nvidia or AMD. Well, if you want to say that then say it and stop inserting all of this garbled nonsense into your commentary when all you need to do is underscore the unavoidable requirement for great GPUs in high performance gaming.
Oh boy I can't wait for UserBenchmark reviews praising Arrow Lake for everything!
Nvidia has lost their mind. For 5090 rtx you can purchase a decent used car. I'll stick with amd .
Watercooled grandma. 😂
How hard is a new io die? Could they launch one in Q2 2025? Zen 5 plus maybe make it an APU generation?
Does AMD need to cooperate and be the good guy?
Will Intel be the good guy if there's a next time where Intel is on top and AMD behind?
2 generations in and they are able to put out a 4070/3080 performance gpu. I'd say that's pretty damn great. Drivers are there now. That's excellent 1080p and 1440p performance. Hell, I'm playing 4k with my 3080 and super happy. If they weren't having money issues in 2 Gens, they'd be competitive.
Arrow Lake feels to me more like the coffee lake launch against Zen 1+ were Zen1+ was only good in multi multithreading. Yet they are launching again Zen4/5 were zen is decent at everything.
The reason AMD and Intel are gonna push x86 hard is because Microsoft literally declared WAR by partnering with Qcomm. Qcomms products are still half baked and STILL? That is a big middle finger to Intel and AMD and they aren't gonna take it lying down.
nv will move stagnation up a tier this generation, no doubt.
399 is the only logical spot for the 9800x3d since the 9700x goes for 325 right now and the 9900x goes for 425.
The issue is the Ultra5/7 have ZERO gaming gains from the 14th gen chips. The 9800x3d will be what, 10-15% faster?
No contest, even if the x3d was 499 it would sell.
This idiot is still streaming?
Nice video, enjoying the content. Im looking to upgrade my xtx 6700 xt merc card for a 4k card. Is it worth buying a 4080 super or a 7900xtx at black friday or is the new 5000 series worth the massive prise increase? Have a good day from me here in northern Sweden!
raptor lake need more ipc ? throw in more cache and call it arrow lake ! … mlitttd … moore's law is totally totally totally dead
On Intels "numbers" regarding the speed/perf of Arrow lake does it state it was using UDimms or CUDimms as that could also skew the numbers.
As current AM5 support for CUDimm doesn't exist.
51:08 x86 is in trouble if such companies wanna "change" ( add bloatware ) something.
Just finished Horizon ZD on PC. Ran on 1440 Ultrawide in Ultra with great FPS. The "Remaster" does make zero sense to me. Maybe from a Moneystandpoint, but nothing else. The "old" HZD look absolute fantastic. Even on medium. New facial Animations won't change the Experience with the whole game. Wow.
is the WD drive issue a Windows only thing? I have one of those drives in my Steamdeck.
people seriously overestimate the significance of instruction set for efficiency. Transistors are plentiful, implementing bunch of rarely used complicated instructions does not take that much. It is caches(both ones listed in specs but also stuff like decoded instruction caches), branch predictors, etc that take majority of cpu resources and are very similar independent of instruction set.
7650 Snake? Snake!? SNAAAAKE! Edition.
Royal Core was the only thing that would have made me pick Intel for my next CPU.
43:00 what is the source of this picture? link please?
NOT buying Intel for 5+ years … I vote with my wallet and they LOST ALL TRUST …
