In the year 2021, District Administration Dimapur had issued a notice regarding the illegal mining of sand from the stream/river under the jurisdiction of Dimapur, where the DC stated on the “complete ban on mining of sand and boulders.” The previous order is still standing, but it is reported that several places in Dimapur are continuing with the mining activities across the Dhansiri river. NLTV reached the spot and caught the illegal activity on camera. Now, a question arises, where did the individuals get the permit from, and if not, then who is responsible?
