I tried installing windows 10 & Linux lite on a 15 year old desktop. Both work well but Linux better

I own a custom 15 year old pc desktop.
It has the asus nse ii striker motherboard from 2008 as well as a quad core q9450 cpu.
Again.. this is a 15 year old desktop.. so I was surprised that I was able to install windows 10 without too much issue. There was just one missing driver after installation.

As for linux.. linux lite installed very easily. I was able to install it after installing windows 10 and it allowed me to automatically resize the original windows 10 partition size.
Dual boot with linux lite was nice… overall the performance on linux lite appears to be faster then on windows 10.

Windows 10 on a 15 year old quad core desktop is pretty decent.
NOTE this was tested on an old 3.5″ spinning hard drive. Had I used a ssd drive it would have run much faster on bootup for windows as well as with apps.
