What makes me wonder is that some people go for weak Mac and leave the great Windows😅 If you want a console and games, head to the giant Windows. It will give you much better performance than the console. If you want editing, graphics, smoothness, and getting work done quickly, head to the giant Windows.❤

I was excited until I saw "installed" meant "used Parallels"… which I've been doing for over two years now.
Is it possible to buy a licence of Parallels or can I only rent it and loose access to my Windows installation when I stop paying the montly fee?
Parallels Desktop is an amazing app for having a Windows in your Mac. It works really well, fast and you really see almost every feature is well thought out. But gaming on a Parallels is just a bad idea. Why would I want to split my hardware and use less cpu, gpu, ram for gaming when I can use whole of my hardware with Whisky? You can play much latest games with a better performance with Whisky and it is free! Anyone thinking of buying Parallels just for gaming, you're making a big mistake.

Given the annual cost of Parallels, I wouldn't get it just for gaming purposes. Since I have an Xbox, Greenlight (or Onecast) and Xbox Cloud Gaming works quite well on my Mac.
I wish Parallels could release a "lite" version for people like me who just use it for the rare occasion when I need the Windows version of Microsoft Office or PowerBI when doing productivity tasks. I couldn't justify the price for Parallels for something I open like 5 times a year.

Actually, so sorry to ask but my MacBook just stopped receiving updates completely 😬( 2015 15” MacBook Pro). How unsafe am I really? Incredibly careful what sites I visit, and using brave browser now which is still being updated… I know I can install openCore but nervous about it and not sure I have faith in myself.
Am saving for a new Mac but want to keep this as long as possible ( I don’t do anything intense these days or use programs).
