HYPERSCAPE: Quest 3 & 3S Photorealistic Scenes
the hyperscape demo for the Quest 3 (and according to the app page, the Quest 3S as well) looks pretty cool. Find it under the name “Meta Horizon Hyperscape Demo”

What happens if you crouch and look under the tables?
Sadly i couldn't get it to work, guess my Internet speeds arent up to par or I'm too far away from the servers
wait till 4d gaussian splattings arrive, which means video gaussian splatting with moving 3d volumes ! there are tons of research about it still and papers are getting published everyday. both meta internally work on them and researchers all around the world. and as a quick hint for waht futures hold up, some of these papers showed we can interact with volumes as physic objects, relight them, reteture them in real time !
I gotta try this!
It's the same as the forest demo bro that also looks hyper realistic
Gaussian Splatting is very powerful, and it's nice that Meta seems to be tapping into it. At this point this is nothing new… what we need is the ability to make our own high quality Guassian Splatting based scenes. They can be made from a HQ video, with the more detail the better… but it comes down to compute power how high quality the results turn out.
Then, beyond that, this service needs to be a social platform where you can share your spaces with friends and family, or the public, as you choose. Then, you should be able to view it simultaneously with others, with digital avatars represented in the space. Finally, there should be the ability to view the space while in an large open area so you can walk around the space instead of teleporting.
I like to take 360 photos of different rooms across the years, then every now and again going back to remember them. I think that's the future of this here.
This is the next medium of photos/videos imo, not Apples weird 2.5 stereo photo thing.
Its like actual 3D space vs old red and blue glasses 3D.
This is so great, can't wait for this to be available outside the US
Awesome Vid! Curious to see how much interest there is in static hyper realism. I think if they can make it interactable it'd be far more enticing to visit.
