How To Fix Windows Update Error Code 0x8007001f in Windows 11/10 [Solution]

The error 0x8007001F occurs when the users attempt to install the latest Windows 11 update on their computers. The error message says ‘Something went wrong and does not list any causes that might be resulting in the error. Error code 0x8007001F can appear on your PC due to your audio drivers. The error could be caused by invalid users, corrupted system files, outdated drivers, or firmware.

Commands Used In This Tutorial:
Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
sfc /scannow

Run the SFC utility:
1. On search menu type CMD rightclick and select run as administrator or Press the Ctrl + Shift + Enter key combination to open Command Prompt as an administrator.
2. First, type this image repair command in the Prompt and press Enter:
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth.
3. Input and execute this command for the System File Checker scan:
sfc /scannow.
4. Wait for the scan to show a Windows Resource Protection outcome in the Command Prompt. It could take about 20 minutes or so.

Run the Windows Update Troubleshooter:
1. On your keyboard, press the Windows logo key and type troubleshoot. In the list of search results, select Troubleshoot.
2. In the pop-up window, select Windows Update and click Run the troubleshooter. You’ll be prompted for permission. Click Yes to run the Windows Update troubleshooter.
3. Click Apply this fix to continue.
