How To Fix Error Code 0x8007000d When Updating Windows ERROR INVALID DATA

This tutorial will help you fix the error code 0x8007000d while trying to update Windows 10.

If when you try to activate your copy of Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008, you get an error message: The data is invalid. Error code 8007000D

Commands Used:

DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

Error code 0x8007000D
This error can even be encountered if you run slsmgr -dlv or slmgr -ato from a command line.

The System account by default has Full Control permissions to the registry path and any subkeys:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetEnumRoot

If those permissions have been altered for the ‘Root’ key or any subkey(s), we would see the error code 0x8007000D.
