How to Disable Virtual Machine Platform (VMP) in Windows 11 for Better Gaming Performance



Today, I’ll show you how to disable the Virtual Machine Platform (VMP) in Windows 11 to improve gaming performance.

The Virtual Machine Platform is known to impact gaming performance in Windows 11.
This feature provides virtualization services for running virtual machines.
However, if you don’t use virtualization software like VMware or VirtualBox, you likely don’t need it enabled.

To disable the Virtual Machine Platform, follow these steps:

Click the window icon on the taskbar
and type “Windows Features” in the search bar.
Select “Turn Windows features on or off” from the search results.
In the Windows Features dialog, uncheck the Virtual Machine Platform option.
Then click ok
You will need to restart your PC to apply the changes.
