How to deploy VMs in Proxmox with Terraform

How to deploy VMs in Proxmox with Terraform

In my last video, I showed you how to create a LXC container in Proxmox using Terraform. In this video, we’ll take a cloud-init template and use it to deploy a couple VMs via automation using Terraform. If you don’t have a cloud-init template, you need one before proceeding.

Overview
– Install Terraform
– Determine authentication method for Terraform to interact with Proxmox (user/pass vs API keys)
– Terraform basic initialization and provider installation
– Develop Terraform plan
– Terraform plan
– Run Terraform plan and watch the VMs appear!
