  1. after I entered my password instead of asking to erase the volume I got 'zsh: killed sudo –volume /Volumes/Untitled'. Any suggestions much appreciated. I'm trying to make a bootable Mojave USB on Sonoma. Thanks

  2. This is a really great tutorial as it's very thorough & complete! However, mac OS Sonoma 14.5 now requires15.8076 GB of space. My 16GB USB flash drive was not large enough to hold the newest version of Sonoma after being erased/reformatted as it was 193.9 MB short. I suggest using a 32 GB flash drive instead!

  3. Thanks for the video. I successfully created the bootable disk on and external SSD. When I start up my mac (2017 Macbook Pro currently running Ventura) and hold the Option button, I click the bootable disk, but then I get a "not allowed" icon, a link to apple startup support and after loading the computer boots like normal. Any ideas what could be causing this?

  4. I did all you said, created the bootable disk succesfully. when I restarted my imac (I had ventura previously). with option key on the screen I clicked on the bootable disk I created. I was asked for a password, I presume my imac password but it's taken very long time is that normal? it looks like something is going on but. any idea how long?
