How to Clone a Hyper-V Virtual Machine from a Checkpoint (Snapshot)

Microsoft Hyper-V lets you create a clonecopy of a virtual machine from a checkpoint or snapshot taken on that VM. This way you can have a second copy of a virtual machine created from a checkpoint at a specific state and then do things such as test software or operating system changes without affecting your original virtual machine or its checkpoints. Once you export your checkpoint, you can then import it as a new VM on the same Hyper-V host or a different one. You can also right click the imported clone in the Hyper-V Manager to rename it.

Of course you can also clone the virtual machine itself in its current state by exporting it.

Here is a link to the video showing you how to installconfigure Hyper-V on Windows Home editions.
