Change is a necessary part of life, and IT deals with a lot of changes! Sometimes, that includes having to deal with and run things you really don’t like… but at least we can still find a way to make it all work!

You might ask why I’m using a virtual TPM at all, rather than using some fancy method of disabling the requirement for a TPM in Windows 11. Thing is, I have to make sure the machine runs stably, including being able to run Windows Update via automated patch management tools. So it’s overall better for me to run W11 with a vTPM, but I still have to be able to do live migrations around the cluster–hence this setup process.
