Welcome to the first video in my homelab series, where I’ll guide you through setting up and evolving a personal homelab. In this series, we’ll experiment with trending technologies, devops principles, networking and hardware by continuously enhancing our setup.
In this video, I’ll start by configuring a new Proxmox server from scratch, covering the essentials right after the first boot. Next, we’ll dive into Terraform to automate virtual machine creation, laying the foundation for a flexible, efficient setup. To put this process to the test, we’ll create our first VM running NixOS using Terraform. This is just the beginning—soon, we’ll use Terraform modules and NixOS configurations to deploy game servers, databases, proxy servers, and much more!
