Here’s How to Pitch To Mookie Betts and Juan Soto | MLB Postseason Breakdown
Juan Soto and Mookie Betts are the 2024 postseason’s most distinct hitters. Soto doesn’t SLG down in the zone and doesn’t chase. Mookie Betts is having trouble covering sweep away.
But how much do you rely on the obvious when every other postseason team understands the same thing? Are you willing to risk your shot at a ring on something you’re 60% certain about?
In this video, we’ll breakdown how you should pitch to Mookie Betts and Juan Soto and the tough questions you must ask in prepping to battle two of MLB’s best hitters.

As someone who’s watched a lot of Dodgers games this season, the reason for Mookies struggles at times with the outer part of the plate is that he has the worst calls by umpires in that area. He has a great eye but that works against him when the umps have been calling strikes instead of balls, which leads to him having to chase.
This is so dumb honestly there is no way to pitch well against Mookie Betts so just give up. I don’t mean to be mean by the way
Great analysis Lance!
I’m so happy my YouTube algorithm knows that I’m enough of a freak to suggest these kinds of videos! Keep doing your thing my man!
This is great stuff man
You should do a video about othani/judge similar style to this one. Interesting thing about them is they are so large and have a bigger zone yet they get to everything. First thoughts about that is they have similar swing styles where they swing more off their back leg and don’t gain as much ground forward which makes it easier to adjust to different locations.
