HELP Is LINUX under attack? or Is it just Me? crazy coloured blocks, then Linux froze up on me!

We all know how Windows gets hammered by viral infections but Zorin os 17 ? Something very weird, scary and bad happened while I was watching YouTube on Zorin 17, The pc screen just completely froze my graphics card and it also affected the bios forcing a bios reset due to this freeze up! Other strange thing is Thunderbird has mysteriously disappeared from the repository no where to be found!
