  1. WHAT DID BENARD AVLE SAY AND DO ABOUT PROF FRIMPONG BOATENGS REPORT. YOUR MEDIA HOUSE SHOT IT DOWN AND GAVE GABBY AN INTERVIEW TO CLEAR HIS NAME. YOU ARE A HYPORCRITE!!!

  2. The question I'm asking Bernard is: Is galamsey a legal activity? Why is he calling for a ban on an illegal activity? This is just like asking the president to ban armed robbery. Such is the absurdity of emotional vituperation he's churning out. If he cares to remind himself about the ban on small scale mining in 2018 and the results thereof. Whoever is mining on any river is doing galamsey which is illegal. Because none of such received licenses to mine on the rivers. And you want the president to ban what?

  3. Bernard the HYPOCRITE IN CHIEF. We don't need any other research or talk other than the implementation of the PROFESSOR FRIMPONG BOATENG'S REPORT period! No more conversation oooh!

  4. 250,000 cedis is even an insult, it cannot even buy a Ghanaian used 2017 CR-V. This government spoil everything, and afterwards they think they can use peanuts to shut us from speaking, what is 250,000 in this economy. How much is a Toyota Yaris?

  5. I challenge everyone to fetch water from the tap and leave it overnight. Look at the sediment beneath and tell me we should not ban mining. What good has all these mining over the years brought us. We still go borrowing away our future.

  6. All these people what they value in life is money. They don't care about human health and life and the environment. They can kill their parents, spouses, and children just to have money. Until we reject people of these tribes from coming near to power, Ghana will never move forward.

  7. Greed and short-term gain is the order of the day in Ghana for especially our politicians and beneficiaries of galamsey. The lo g term solution is for Ghana to elect patriotic independent candidates who will put the interest of the nation first. As the scriptures say, like Isreal, the entire head is sick.

  8. Bro, most chiefs, jubilee house, NPP leadership are leading the galamsey in those communities and you don’t expect them to fight something they are benefiting. The youths in those communities need to rise up to protect the water bodies and forest reserves in their local areas. Citizens power is more than any power. Rise up to protect your future!!

  9. These people are Greedy and chasing money from the Presidency ooh,

    These people have no integrity…

Asantehene is telling us that he can't ban Galamsey on his land but he can ask every business to closed down because of his mother's funeral

  10. First and foremost, the mineral commission, is he the finance ministry and has he been mandated to make sure we meet our revenue target? We are the people paying taxes. You are being paid your salary whether we find gold or not. Just do your job. And you want to worry about who is going to be jobless when galamsey is banned. If it is not daylight misdemeanor going on… I don't know what it is.

  11. The believe that everything people in authority say and do is right and in the interest of the people is FALSE. Thus we must firmly and critically speak to authority else they would use their interests to destroy all of us.

  12. If the leaders will listen and learn, they'll realize the advance countries have far more larger natural resources but it is being preserved for generations to come! Greed and misplaced priority is what is collapsing Ghana!

  13. @Bernard Avle. All I can say is God bless you for speaking truth. The situation is so dire and cannot be overstated. The level of greed, coupled with incompetence is beyond reasoning. I've lost all respect for folks who choose to sit on the sideline and watch our future light up in flames. God punish them all!!!!

  14. Watch all this loud campaign go silent after the election. When the problem was smaller & a new Gov took up the campaign with no political consequence & even banned small scale mining, these campaigners were silent. Election season came around & ppl went around promising & embolding the galamsey to vote against the Gov fighting them. Now election season has come again & they want to force them to take action so they lose votes. If the intentions were genuine, the peak of the campaign shouldn't be at time of election, it should be when a new Gov is in their early days/honeymoon with nothing to lose
