Download Pre-built images (f36) Workstation image
— Mirror Settings –
sudo nano /etc/dnf/dnf.conf
Add “fastestmirror=True” at most end.
— Installing fcitx –
sudo dnf install fcitx5-mozc fcitx5-autostart fcitx5-qt fcitx5-gtk fcitx5-configtool
— Input method switching –
sudo alternatives –config xinputrc
Type the number for fcitx5
— Creating Environment File –
mkdir ~/.config/environment.d
In the Text Editor, type below
INPUT_METHOD=fcitx5
GTK_IM_MODULE=fcitx5
QT_IM_MODULE=fcitx5
XMODIFIERS=@im=fcitx5
Save the file under the name “00-fcitx5.conf” in the environment.d folder
— Installing GNOME Shell integration –
Firefox Search and install by add-ons and themes
Launch GNOME Shell integration, search for and install kimpanel
— Install Tweak tool –
sudo dnf install gnome-shell-extension-* gnome-tweak-tool
— Installing VLC –
– add repository
sudo dnf install -E %fedora).noarch.rpm
– Install it
sudo dnf install vlc
