FASTEST AMD AI Mini PC Beelink SER9
In our Beelink SER9 video, we see why this might be the fastest AMD mini PC out there with the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370. It also has Beelink’s newest features of which some are good, and others still need some work. Lots to cover, and a special Beelink GTi Ultra 12 cameo to discuss external dGPU options.

Yeaaaaah … no. No memory upgradability, no 10Gb network, useless speakers, for 1Kโฌ ? No thanks. They're really overpricing this AI sh…
Sorry Patrick at $800+ this simply a non starter.
Just got one. Looks amazing and is a little beast that makes macMini and even the Pro look slow.
Not seeing a use case at this price point. I have lots of these devices and the idea is that they are small, lower powered, run win or linux and cheap….kind of like a raspberry pi. On top of that I don't see where the 'ai' or large language models are useful at this price point where I could buy 3 or 5 of their other computers. Also the misses on wireless and the silly speakers are dead on. Additionally that graphics is still too weak for gaming.
Imagine what they could do if not wasting all that silicon on an NPU
For me its leading me towards thinking my PC would be a mini pc with eGPU – why would you need a midi tower these days!?!?!
Has "AI" in the title and "NPU" in the hardware. Doesn't show ollama benchmarks.
just love Patrick's enthusiasm! Very nice box, but as mentioned, the expandability is going to be an issue sooner or later.
This thing must feel like a toaster running at full power 75W+, and it's too expensive.
Its time Mini PCs came with a battery rather an builtin power.
1 usb4 port, and no 10Gb ethernet.. come on.. why bother?
Do AMD mini pcs still bad for plex servers? for hw encoding?
Chinese product, so you have Chinese Communist Party in your home connected to internet. Chinese products are known to "phone home" , so security is gone with this and no AV software can help. Desktops dont usually have microphones, but this does. Considering its chinese government background, I am not surprised ๐
Is that a LTT screw driver at the corner? ๐๐๐
Please donโt say pegged
Really just need an AMD GTi12 style box.
Presumably they use two speakers to provide stereo?
Two little speakers, sitting right next to each other, in the same box, is going to provide absolutely ZERO stereo separation for the listener. Completely defeats the purpose of using two speakers for stereo.
Why do they feel the need to design a PC that looks exactly like a Mac mini?
I think we are waiting for a generational change in NUC's. More package RAM options with Strix Halo (which will end up being more like the Apple Mac Studio) or when LPCAMM becomes available for NUC form factor.
The external dock one makes no sense. Just build a desktop. I donโt see people tossing this box in a bag to take it around.
I'm wondering what kind of preformance the ai cores get
32GB of RAM is way too little when you can't upgrade it, 64GB should be the mininum. It's also too little for the price charged.
Price is instant turn away
It really baffles me that mini pcs include these super powered CPUs only to be limited by thermal throttling. Especially for gaming itโs a waste.
Minisforum or Beelink, which one offers better software support like drivers and BIOS updates?
iam gonna disable that ai part because ai is stupid
I'm going to wait for the Minisforum AI370 with up to 96GB ram, 2x PCIe4x4 M.2 slots and 2x 2.5GbE nics… and it looks really nice!
I guess these Beelinks with the Ryzon ABCD123123123123123 are not for me as can't upgrade the Ram ๐
Shouldโve completely gutted the speakers and mic for more cooling or hardware peripherals.
That wouldโve made it a must have ๐ง๐ฝโโ๏ธ
Wait, but the rear bottom left usb port has usb3 pins, so are they just non-functional then if it's just usb 2?
We would understand the price if it was 64gb ram, 10gbe, and wifi7
I wonder if using the BEELink a router with pfsense would improve my internet experience on dial up. What about gig fiber?
Beelink bios are crap. I won't be buying any more beelink products. U59 pro died after just over one year. Another beelink amd mini pc arrived unbootable out the box. Customer service is dishonest and deliberately slow and unhelpful. I no longer listen to YouTube reviewers of these kinds of cheap Chinese minipcs. The only reviewer I have any confidence in is Gamers Nexus and guess what they don't review this kind of cheap Chinese e-waste.
I'm not buying anything with an AI chip in it.
What version display port please?
