Exploring an Abandoned 1850's Mining Neighborhood – Families kicked out of homes

A community built for miners in the 1850s, this community housed hundreds of people over the years. Many miners came and went, but overall, the community was happy and peaceful until 2017. A nearby town purchased the land and decided that the neighborhood bridge, which was the only way in or out, was a fire hazard. The bridge was built over 100 years ago and is made out of wood, and was declared it couldn’t hold the weight of a fire truck. Instead of fixing the bridge, the now broke coal town evicted all tenants after a fire eventually happened. We will be entering a majority of homes and seeing what belongings were left behind as we admire the old architecture of these one in a kind neighborhood in a very historical area.
