Well since they're committed to respecting player choice that means they should respect my decision to not throw away money on a game that's an overpriced and historically inaccurate pile of garbage.

The entire situation could have been avoided if they hadn't gone all Jada Pinkett Smith, but the fact they have the gall to double down on it despite egregious cultural miss appropriations is deplorable.

Yasuke He doesn't deserve all the hate he gets now, because of Ubisoft, he's a very good character.

Why does it seem like every time a westerner this decade makes something set in Japan it has to be about Yasuke? Wtf

So to clarify, Ubisoft, with their many white devs, decided to mainly use information from Thomas Lockley, another white guy, instead of doing more research or consulting other Japanese historians, edits the Wikipedia page for Yasuke to fit the narrative, then uses Chinese architecture & music, while also spewing the bullshit that none of the Japanese people are upset while simultaneously ignoring any Japanese criticism as "people pretending to be Japanese to hate on the game"?

The whole thing with this game just sounds like "white people who believe they know more than the Japanese, yet clearly don't, culturally appropriating while telling others that they (Ubisoft) are in the right".

Ubisoft completely disrespected Japanese culture and history with this 0/10 of a game. Absolute garbage of a company that needs to be removed from existence. Great video on your part though, it was fun laughing at these Ubisoft fools.

Edit: LMAO this game will be completely broken on launch. From swords that don't sheath, floating bullets, floating doors, doors-with-no-staircase-leading-up-to-it, and so much more. Absolutely terrible company and a complete disservice to Japanese culture.

Truly an excelent representation of Japans history, with completely accurate figures and places and no lies or bias whatsoever… I really liked Ghost of Tsushima for that… oh yeah and new assasin creed or whatever.
(I don't know how much of this is true, I am now afraid of these two please no kill)
