Bro after doing this , my system stopped working…. All files were inaccessible
Great video! Explaining the what & why. 💯 I had already set many to manual, but per the video and disabling any I can't imagine using helped more. After restart, processies (lol) 170 to 149, threads 1,802 to 1,454, handles 70,800 to 54,095 and everything works fine. btw, Dell 3520 laptop, Core I5, 8 GB & HDD will swap out for SSD soon. (weakest link lol) There are always hardware limitations but there are also excess Winbloat services that need our attention. 🙂
Every system administrator's nightmare: videos for laypeople that give instructions on how to deactivate system services and then carry them out on their work computer if it is slow….. Fortunately, you can prevent this by revoking administrator rights.
Deactivating unnecessary Windows system services brings barely noticeable CPU or memory improvements. These services run in the background, usually with a maximum of 2-3% CPU load and memory requirements in the low megabyte range.
Do yourself a favor and stay away from settings whose consequences you cannot estimate yourself. I would be extremely cautious with Bitlocker services and system services such as NETLOGON, PRINT SPOOLER and Smartcard-Features in particular, if you do not want to provoke a data loss through encrypted files or a reinstallation of your operating system.
Your computer is badly misconfigured for your CPU. You should have 1 socket, 8 cores and 16 threads showing for the 5700G processor.
i have only 99 without doing anything he mentioned.
SysMain reduces ram usage.
wow! nice! thx for this ❤
I'm not sure you understand what some of these services actually do, nor are for. Your descriptions for several are inaccurate, and you advocate disabling services that aren't running / are already in Manual mode. Assuming this is Pro, you should really look into Group Policy Editor. Disabling is NOT the same thing as Manual. P.S. Sysmain is what Microsoft used to call Superfetch. No clue why they renamed it.
I've disabled some services in the past, only for M$ to turn them back up when I've had update fixes. It's worth checking occassionaly that services you've turn off, stay off.
Nope! Not taking advise from the guy that is always calling me and trying to get me to give him access to my P.C.
Nice try "Steve"
The real source of problems here is the 4 GB of RAM.
I strongly recommend making sure you're not using bitlocker before you turn off the encryption that would prevent you from turning it back on.
And set them to manual. If some other service needs them, it will start them.
Any new PC I always immediately disabled the Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service, which always makes a big difference
Ryzen 7 with 4GB RAM is a crime😭😭😭
Thank you, much improved PC windows 10 performance.
I had these stopped already via group policy in Win10, lots of tweakings there.
All should be off by default and promted to activate when using specific softwares that need them.
Outstanding video, thank you.
Your videos are really informative.
Thank you so much for this video. Keep up the good work
Bro your voice is like Techno Uplift. Is it your channel?
Hi can you please list the services in text to copy and save for easy implementation
your videos are amazing
This seems to be a repeat of a previous video you posted. I already have the changes made, and I don't follow anyone else.
Thank you so much ❤
if W10 has a "need" for Diagnostics, should they be also set to "Manual"??? They are running, normally. tanx!
"If you want to disable services permanently instead of just temporarily stopping them, you can follow these steps after clicking on 'Disable':
Open system settings: Go to the system settings on Windows.
Go to the 'Recovery' tab: Navigate to this tab where you can manage recovery options.
Disable services from there: Look for the unnecessary services you want to disable, and then choose to disable them.
This way, you will ensure that these services remain disabled even after rebooting the device."

thanks

It's safe to set the services to "Manual" instead of disabling it. Set all services to manual (by using CTT tool). Do a backup before disabling the services as it may break PC or some apps.
