  1. 25 years in IT and running my own MSP now and kind of shocked that I didn’t know about this one. Granted it’s just a shortcut you can and do handle with right click but this is just faster.

  2. i wonder if I could use something like this for one of my laptops that had gotten locked 6 years ago to maybe override the startup password on windows 11 because I had forgotten the password,I would probably just reinstall windows if it werent for the memories of my wife whom has passed from cancer 4 years ago. Thanks to anyone with advice..

  3. Another tip: you can write 'cmd' or 'powershell' in the explorer addressbar. When you hit enter it will open cmd or powershell with the current directory as working directory. Unfortunately, the CTRL+SHIFT shortcut does not work in this instance.

  4. Yes, it's actually extremely easy to script. Microsoft likes to blame a lot of things on security and for the safety of the user and limiting people's ability to run their OSs based on the fact that their machine is too old and insecure, but the reality is with just a few lines of code. You can script that whole sequence on a fake HID device and this can be executed along with a command in under 2 seconds (in most cases but it varies from machine to machine)
