  1. Ok, I get the jab at Intel for this mess, but why call out AMD after the news about Intel? AMD is delaying the launch to prevent problems, why is that being compared to Intel's shady behavior on their issue?

  2. I'll give AMD this. They caught their problem and are fixing it (Let's hope). Intel just wants to issue a "patch" that will gimp the processors making them perform slower just so they don't have to replace millions to billions of dollars worth of product.

  3. Stop it with these Linux jokes, they were impacted as well, as well as a few times previously. The only reason you don't hear about Linux as much is because when Linux gets fucked up, a lot fewer people care because a lot fewer people use it. If Linux was a quarter as popular as Windows when something similar happened earlier this year that caused boot loop kernel panics (aka ugly B(lack)SODs), you'd report on it, but it isn't, so you don't even know about it.

  4. The company that prints the names on the heat spreaders of AMD chips, got it wrong. Nothing wrong with the chips themselves.Maybe TechLinked should do a bit more research!

  5. We are on the last run of the desktop. Desktop computers as we know them (powerful, customizable, x86, with lots of freedom) will become extinct in the next 7-10 years. Prepare to embrace your artificially limited, garden walled, hyper-monetized and dumbed-down "desktop" which will be just an overclocked smartphone in a bigger case with tiny heat sinks and a fan with AI powered spyware.

  6. Wait, what? So I can't download pirated movies, but they can train an AI on them… isn't that literally piracy? If you access content you didn't pay for and that isn't given to you free, it's piracy, no?

  7. I would be happy to remove the galaxy store, or any store, from my personally owned equipment. And hey Microsoft, why don't you concentrate on making good software and less on giving us more ads and siphoning data to sell?

  8. I have a NIB 14900k, im waiting on my case to build. Its great news that i will have to neuter the chip in order to use it safely. Great job Intel, false advertising is the best case scenario for them. I bought the 'TOTL' chip for it to only be forcibly downgraded before i can even drop it in the socket.

  9. It's not same-party-punch causing all of these chip problems, it's same-party-politics. DEI is killing everything it touches, because the workers are typically wholly unqualified for the jobs.
