Deploying a hyper-converged infrastructure with Ceph across the Cloud-Edge Continuum | @fosdemtalks

In the Software Defined Storage Devroom, talks focused on leveraging open-source tools for managing storage clusters in cloud infrastructures. We recently unveiled our integration with #Ceph, another #opensource solution that forms the backbone of Software Defined Storage (#SDS) solutions for #edge deployments.

This integration facilitates the dynamic deployment of nodes through orchestrated infrastructure provisioning (using #Terraform), autoconfiguration of Ceph and virtualization subsystems (via #Ansible), and cloud-edge management (leveraging #OpenNebula). Our presentation explored how these tools seamlessly integrate to automate edge management and provisioning across multi-provider environments, showcasing Ceph’s effectiveness as an edge storage solution.
