CyberArk 13.2 Installation Vault, PVWA, CPM,PSM & Password Rotation: Windows and Linux Servers

Welcome to my latest YouTube tutorial on CyberArk! In this video, we’ll guide you through the installation of CyberArk Version 13.2, covering the Vault, PVWA (Password Vault Web Access), CPM (Central Policy Manager), and PSM (Privileged Session Manager). But that’s not all; we’ll also demonstrate how to onboard a test Windows server and a test Linux server while implementing a password rotation for both the local Admin/root passwords.

Here’s what you can expect from this video:

CyberArk 13.2 Installation: We’ll provide a step-by-step walkthrough of the installation process for the latest version of CyberArk, ensuring you have a solid foundation for Privileged Access Management.

Onboarding Test Servers: Learn how to onboard a test Windows server and a test Linux server into your CyberArk environment. We’ll show you the entire process, from configuring server access to setting up accounts.

Password Rotation: Discover the importance of password rotation for maintaining a secure environment. We’ll guide you through the process of setting up password rotation policies in CyberArk.

Troubleshooting: Sometimes, things don’t go as planned. We’ll demonstrate troubleshooting techniques, including a special focus on addressing common challenges when rotating Windows local Admin passwords.

These are the errors that we are going to solve for the CPM for the Password rotation:
CACPM344E Verifying Master Safe: CyberArk-Windows-Local, Folder: Root, Object: Operating System-CyberArkWindowsServerLocalAccounts-192.168.10.102-administrator failed (try #0). Code: 2104, Error: Error in verifypass to user 192.168.10.102administrator on domain 192.168.10.102(\192.168.10.102). Reason: The network path was not found. (winRc=53)
CACPM250E Operation on remote machine on password object Safe: CyberArk-Windows-Local, Folder: Root, Object: Operating System-CyberArkWindowsServerLocalAccounts-192.168.10.102-administrator failed (try #0) with the following error: CACPM073E Change password process terminated. Timeout (30) elapsed (Safe: CyberArk-Windows-Local, Folder: Root, Object: Operating System-CyberArkWindowsServerLocalAccounts-192.168.10.102-administrator).

By the end of this tutorial, you’ll have a solid understanding of CyberArk 13.2, the onboarding process, and how to efficiently manage password rotations for both Windows and Linux servers.

Please read the documentation for your own reference.

During the installation, I will be jumping between the servers to do the preparation for the installation of the prerequisite for the PVWA, CPM and the PSM.
