Worst case scenario, even if they remove it there'll always be a third party software to bring it back so yeah no worries ๐
dont even fucking touch control panel
win11 is alr shit without this update
I think they should just… hide it.
We can blame Search Bar.
No hate but wheres bros tooth
Their settings app crash alot and supper laggy sometimes
I stick with control panel
I like control panel more. My laptop is so shit it takes a whole minute to properly open the settings app while the control panel works completely fine.
I might have a soultion tho. Put the control panel stuff into settings but keep the og control panel and the og settings untouched. The settings app will have a new ui but the control panel will be the same
Shut up dude
Shut up dude
No it won't be a positive change!
NOOooOo… If you using 2indows since win 3.11, old control panel better than new control panel, new control panel made you STUPID ๐ , Windows want us to be stupid โ๏ธ
I use arch btw ๐ฆ๐
Definitely not settings ui is cluttered and complicated
As a windows user since windows xp I WANT FOR CONTROL PANEL TO LIVE
i tell yall its shit theyve messed with lots of important function and added some extra , the good thing win 11 does is do a direct meta read on built in drivers of whatever u connect on it EG bluetooth/keyboard(SPA) etc. u dont have to search alot of different drivers
go in the fking system 32 folder, search for control.exe copy tat wherever u want and u got urself the control panel that gonna work even if windows removes that.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO NOT THE CONTROL PANEL
for me, make them optional, use settings for default and remake the options exclusive to the control panel move it to settings, while keeping the control panel version, just add new stuff, that's the best for me.
This was a very old stuff going on since 2012 when Windows 8 came out. I kinda liked Windows 8 imo but they shouldn't change the stuff on the control panel. i mean the Windows 7 control panel was okay so there is no reason for Microsoft to make another one. Too bad they wanted a Separate one for tablets. For me having another one is pointless. Even though since Windows 11 or later versions of Windows 10 they migrated to The new settings but the new settings app is more heavier than the ones on the usual traditional control panel.
Yeah yeah Microsoft has no good reason to make the new settings app. they shouldn't do it since the beginning perhaps it was one of the reasons why people disliked Windows 8.
If it didn't broke don't fix it
Noooooo control panel
Settings looks more modern
Honestly as long as those control panel abilities are still accessible then sure
As long as they donโt remove shit and just move everything to settings and dont fuck it up then its all good but knowing Microsoft theyโll just find a way to fuck it up
Sometimes, The settings is hard to navigate and im fine with 2 settings. If they remove the control panel i will move to linux then.
1 is a new letter.
I think they should add it to settings but keep control panel
Tbh we can safely say there's no new users to windows
they should just redesign it. it has windows 95 graphics on windows 11, but it's waaaaay better than settings
another idea for Microsoft: remove the settings app. put everything in the control panel.
Settings menu is s**t control panel is god mode for windows period
no, they should not be migrated the should be added to settings and still be in control panel. that way a use can use witch ever they want, or better yet do away with settings all together. control panel works and as stated is easy to navigate.
how is the less easy to use option the better option?
Everything in Windows can be administered from multiple locations. Unfortunately, this makes systems administration into a massive security flaw.
I wanna see this guy bite a sandwich
Make the control panel have a dark-gray background, and put a 20% rounded slightly lighter grey box around every setting in the control panel and give it a good highlight.
As a CSS god, that's the way people would love it. Modern, but still the same.
Control Panel is the best. they shoud remove the Settings app
If the remove it add all the feature to setting
however, microsoft ought to renovate the settings panel that as intuitive as control panel to navigate as well
Ok ok, then can someone please tell me where to find the change the power plan from the windows settings?? Cause i can find it only in the control panel! And that's such an important set cause it's almost an safe overclocking if you want to switch from balance to ultimate
Linux is becoming more and more appealing
It would make the users harder to troubleshoot their pc since most of tutorials were using control panel. But its microsoft, why microsoft even care with the users. They just want money ๐
As a gamer I don't care
Man they doing to remove the control panel because which ms activation you can't use full potential of settings app. So you have buy it , if your haven't activation the windows
They should remove the control panel, but I still think that it should be under "Turn Windows Features on or off" panel. At least Microsoft should do this and make a decent Control Panel migration guide for legacy users.
No, I what control panel!
Is it gone by in windows 10?
You made me rethink my decision
