Ensuring that your vSphere setup remains secure is crucial, however, manual updating can prove to be cumbersome and prone, to mistakes. In this talk, I will outline the steps to streamline the vSphere update procedure by leveraging PowerShell and GitHub Actions automation. The initial phase involves establishing the required setup by adjusting PowerShell scripts tailored for vSphere update management. Subsequently, I’ll exhibit how these scripts can be amalgamated with GitHub Actions to craft automated processes that effectively schedule and implement updates.
