I wasn't torn up about Henry's death, tbh. When he came by Vito's house to ask us to "put in a good word" for him to Falcone, I thought that was a terrible idea considering how much loyalty matters, and the fact that Henry jumped from Clemente to Falcone with no hesitation told me that he's loyal to no one. So, to me, him being a rat makes sense.

the "RETRY MISSION" option takes you back to the Checkpoint, not the whole beginning of the Mission. To do THAT, you quit out to the main menu and "LOAD CHAPTER".

The whole Henry being a rat thing is quite complicated. The original scriptwriter, Daniel Vávra (who also wrote and directed the original first game), he talked about this and said that Henry was not a rat. But the fact is that he left the studio a year before the game released so things might’ve changed. I’ve got a link to a video of him talking about it. But it contains spoilers to the ending, so I’ll send it to the LP’s final part.
Words cannot express my frustration at this part of the story.
They do the dodgy dealing and surprisingly get away with it.
Then they just get overexcited and blow it all.
Despite Henry being a rat and starting a gang war we spend the 3rd act of the game scrounging for cash to pay off the dept purely because they get carried away and don’t pay off the god damn loan.
As a result everyone ends up in a MUCH worse situation than they started

Nothing ever goes to plan with these boys. It’s good to know that I wasn’t the only one that was enraged by this level, not having checkpoints. I don’t know how many times I had to redo that freaking gunfight. In the moment, I was still sort of pissed about it so when Henry was getting chopped a bits, I was like “serves right for putting me through that.”

One of the big clues of Henry being an informant is in Chapter 5. He gives Vito a false backstory about migrating from Sicily as a teenager, which Vito immediately catches onto and asks "so how's your English so good?" Henry doesn't answer and changes the topic

Also remember, earlier in the game in the apartment window with the MG42 before killing the one dude.. Henry explains his backstory and how he was from Sicily and “fled” to the US when HE WAS 20! Vito asks “So how is your English so good?” We never hear Henry’s response…
