I would have switched the HDD to a SSD for a Minecraft server, it helps quite a lot, a 256GB SSD can be found for quite cheap, the HDD will make this quite laggy especially when people explore and generate new chunks, plus I think if you are lucky, there's 1 or 2 M2 slots on that model.
I loved the tutorial as a reminder of how easy it is to set these up (doing VMs allows you to have multiple worlds at once)
