Broadcom finally listened on licensing // vSphere Standard and vSphere Enterprise Plus licenses back
Today, major news dropped from Broadcom with the expansion of the VMware Cloud Foundation portfolio of products. It seems …

I have less faith in Broadcom taking this approach from a customer satisfaction stance than I do in them modifying their offerings based on a larger than expected loss in customer base.
But no community edition?
I've already migrated several of my clients to Proxmox and I didn't do it for free, so I doubt they'll pay again to be migrated back.
They were afraid of ProxMox !!!
Reminds me of the Uniity rollback.
No longer interested
lol, all IT guys from corpo were telling me they gonna switch to Proxmox, OpenShift, PowerVM as new Broadcom policy is unbearable. Nice to hear there is a chance the being of VMware expert could be still worth something on IT market in the future. Veeam added Proxmox support just because this stupid decision of Broadcom. I think there is no end of this stupidity yet and soon we will be dissapointed again.
Very original thumbnail, your face + pointing. The #1 sign of mediocrity on YouTube. Don’t consider for a second how looking like EVERYONE else makes you a lemming moron not a marketing genius 😂
Is it still subscription based also for standard and enterprise plus??
vSphere Standard isn't new. It has been there the whole time.
Fool me once, shame on me. Fool me twice, shame on you. Like others have said, Proxmox.
i've never used vmware vsphere myself but i agree with a lot of these comments 💯
I think saying that Broadcom/VMWare is doing a big move with the new pricing just isn't fair to customers. It's a much needed change and nothing less… Imho you're being too nice with that whole situation.
Honestly damage is done, I wouldn't go back ever.
Dear Mr.
Where are you get this information, i've been search another link like Broadcom etc.
I didn't get the information.
I hope this is not hoaks..
Tks.
What??? They added all of these things at MORE cost to the client, no matter how you spin it. The now have the Termination for Convenience clause as well as increases in cost even for 3 year deals…
Dude you are the only YouTube that keeps talking about VMware all of the others have left it behind after how they treated their customers. Are you getting paid by Broadcom or what?
well this was a waste of your time
Lol, so an "oh sh!t they aren't taking it. Let's roll it back and incrementally do so and get features that help lock you". I say nay. If I can reliably move my clients to any other platform I'm doing so. They haven't learned anything, look at all the other companies they have purchased. It's only temp, pricing and locks will increase.
You habe to be not very intelligent to go back to Broadcom
After our migration to Proxmox, we’ve found that it meets our needs without limitations. As such, we won’t consider VMware again unless it is acquired by a more reputable company. It’s disappointing to see how Broadcom has impacted VMware's direction.
