Red Hat Openshift is one of the leading solutions for organisations adopting a kubernetes based Platform-as-a-Service solution. In this session we explain how to use the Cisco ACI CNI Plugin for Openshift to provide solid networking and security for workloads running on the Openshift Clusters. The ACI CNI Plugin enables devops teams to use a robust SDN that implements distributed networking, distributed security and load balancing while facilitating the work for network operations. Fabric Administrators have complete visibility of Openshift workloads and context including projects, services, deployments and visibility and security granular to the POD level. Administrators can leverage Network Policies and/or ACI EPG and contract model to implement advanced segmentation at project, deployment or even POD level. The ACI CNI plugin also solves common challenges associated with egress connectivity by eliminating bottlenecks on the path between PODs and other infrastructure while providing full redundancy for all network paths. Attendees are expected to have basic understanding of ACI and Containers.
