Bridging Divides with Compassion: How Can We Love Our Neighbors Despite Fundamental Differences?

It’s no secret that the world seems to be more divided than ever, particularly in the U.S. during this election year. How can we maintain our love and compassion at this time, especially with individuals with whom we disagree?

Today, Michael addresses that and more, including:

-Practical steps for cultivating compassion for those who think differently

-What it means to “love thy neighbor” in ways that extend beyond our immediate community, given the interconnectedness of our nation and world via the Internet and social media

-The role that self-love and compassion play in our ability to love and have compassion for our neighbors, including Michael’s personal revelations about when he wasn’t compassionate enough with himself

-How to balance standing up for our values while still being compassionate towards those who oppose them

Then, Michael leads a brief guided meditation with a focus on Love.

  3. That's nice, but AA and mental health are not going to let me expand my mind! I hate that label and don't accept it! So I am not even going to try to be a practitioner or a minister, and looking for something else to do! Much love and blessings!😊
