I suggest watching the original beyblade anime. Starting from Bakuten Shoot, that is genuine Kino from start to finish. The writing is amazing. It set the standard for sports anime.

The Xtreme rails are just a better engine gear system from Bakuten Shoot, the metal contact points are from the Hard/Heavy Metal System of BS and Metal Fight, and the burst is from early BS and Burst.
I'd have to disagree with your Burst takes. Not only do I think that Burst( at least season 1 and maybe 2) is unironically peak, but also that Burst brought an audience to Beyblade. Valt and Shu are arguably just as beloved as Takao, Ginkga, and Ryuga. Especially considering that Burst lasted like 7-8 years.

I had metal fight beyblades as a kid, and was walking through walmart the other day and said screw it then went down the toy isle to see what kid of toys they have nowadays. I "grew out" of beyblade by the time burst was out, and saw X and that they had metal again, well I ended up not getting any. Then after having a dream about beyblading as a kid the other night, I ordered an X stadium and 150$ worth of blades๐ .

Beyblade was something that I was only tangentially aware of in my youth. A month or so ago my boys were obsessed with these small plastic tops that they got from school and I was reminded of Beyblades. We watched some YouTube videos about it and found out that the latest generation is probably the best time to get in.
Since I'm a grown ass man who makes grown ass money I decided to pull the trigger on the stadium set with the excuse of buying it for my kids, and its a hit! Mom is happy because the kids aren't playing video games, and dad is happy because I get to play with Beyblades and make some memories.
I dragged the whole family to GameStop for their promotional tournament on Saturday, and my daughter ended up winning. Since we acquired a second stadium as a prize, we gifted it to her cousins so now even more kids locally will be into Beyblade.
All according to plan…
